Protests in Korea and Geneva (ILO Convention) for Fundamental Labour Rights and an ILO Fit for the 21st Century

On June 17 Korean s and civil society organisations marched in Seoul calling for ratification of ILO Core Conventions. Directly after, s gathered in the streets of Geneva during the 100th ILO Convention, also calling for a future of work in which the rights to freedom of association, collective bargaining and collective action are guaranteed.

ITUC Demands for an ILO Fit for the 21st Century

- Defend freedom of association, collective bargaining and the right to strike.

- Adopt a Centenary Declaration that secures the fundamental rights of working people, protects their health and safety, ensures living wages and allows them to control their working hours.

- Adopt a binding Convention to fight against violence and harassment in the world of work.
